Fotele dla Teatru im. Stefana Żeromskiego w Kielcach

  • Seats for Stefan Żeromski Theatre in Kielce

The renovation of one of the oldest theatre stages in Poland, Stefan Żeromski Theatre in Kielce was a project that combined deep respect for history with a modern approach to function and comfort.
The redevelopment of the building was designed by the WXCA architectural studio, which restored the interiors’ historical character and incorporated modern technical solutions.

As part of the project, Forum by Nowy Styl supplied theatre seats that became an integral element of the renewed space. Their form, colour, and proportions were designed to seamlessly connect the theatre’s historic architecture with its contemporary stage design.

Tailored to the theatre space

Main Stage
On the Main Stage, we installed 283 Polyphony Theatro seats – a special version of our Polyphony model, developed specifically for this project.
The soft, pastel pink upholstery and subtle finishing details create a coherent composition with the restored 19th-century interior of the theatre.

Project shaped by the space

Studio Stage
In the smaller studio space, a mobile auditorium was created, featuring 80 Unit seats mounted on a telescopic grandstand. This solution allows flexible arrangement of the space depending on the character of the event.
Additionally, two telescopic tribunes have been installed on the stage of the Performance Hall, bringing the audience even closer to the performance.

A subtle blend of past and present
The renovation of  Stefan Żeromski Theatre in Kielce showcases how collaboration between architects, acoustic consultants, and the Forum team made it possible to create auditoriums that fits the aesthetics of the historic theatre, preserves its unique atmosphere, and at the same time meets the needs of the modern audience.
