A world-class seat in the colours of Pogoń Szczecin Football Club

Construction work on the Florian Krygier municipal stadium in Szczecin is being closely followed by sports fans and residents. This is a long-awaited investment, which will give the Pomeranian football team a modern training facility, and the city a stadium that meets the most stringent standards. New stands for fans will be filled with world-class Abacus seats supplied by Forum by Nowy Styl.

Pogoń Szczecin’s previous venue has been demolished, and a brand new structure is being put up in its place. A fourth stand will be added to close off the stadium’s horseshoe shape, so the venue will now be able to seat more than 20,000 spectators. The contractor in charge of the construction is DORACO Construction Corporation, and the stadium is scheduled to be put into service in 2022.

The new complex will allow professional training of junior players, whose development determines the future of the whole team.

– We need modern infrastructure to go to the next level of sporting competition. The new stadium will let our team take a step forward  says Dariusz Adamczuk, the chairman of Pogoń’s junior section Akademia Pogoni.

In the colour of the season

Current trends in interior design influence sports facilities too. Anthracite, or a combination of gray and black, is the dominant colour in Pogoń Szczecin’s sports stands. You may know the colour from modern industrial-style housing projects, but as it turns out, it is doing just as well in a stadium. The choice of this subdued colour as a backdrop for the navy-blue and maroon notes and the yellow inscription “Pogoń 1948” has given the whole an elegant look. Also the roof inside and some other elements of the building will be in anthracite.

Resistant to explosions of joy

Seats are an important part of any stadium. The Stadium of Pogoń Szczecin used to be the first facility of its kind in Poland fully fitted with plastic seats. Today, the local fans will be able to sit back in cutting-edge style again.

Fans and stadium owners around the world value Abacus, the flagship stadium seat from Forum by Nowy Styl, for its comfort, durability and ease of installation. Abacus has filled stadiums at the Qatar 2022 World Cup or the Hungarian national stadium Puskas Arena. “We wanted to design a ‘world-class seat’. Comfortable and making quick stand rearrangement easy, while being resistant to adverse weather conditions and explosions of fans’ joy” says the seat’s designer Rebecca Stewart

We wish all Pogoń fans that their team gives them a lot of reasons to celebrate.
