In the heart of HafenCity – one of Hamburg’s most dynamically developing districts – a new cultural landmark was created: Kinopolis. The city’s largest multiplex features ten advanced screening rooms, where more than 2,000 moviegoers take their seats in models of our manufacture.
This project sets a new benchmark for comfort and aesthetics in cinema interiors. Each screening room was designed to fully immerse the audience in the cinematic experience – not only through the latest projection and sound technologies, but also thanks to carefully tailored seating solutions.

Design that follows functionality
Among the models supplied were Astor Emotion – a single, fully upholstered seat with a timeless silhouette, Astor Couch in both single and double versions with broad and comfortable seat and Astor Relax, with an extended seat for full relaxation. Selected auditoriums were also equipped with GT 610, GT 600, and the versatile Swing 600 models – all designed for spaces requiring maximum functionality and easy adaptability.
Additionally, to provide viewers with access to modern solutions, many chairs are also equipped with integrated QI chargers and USB-A ports.

Finishes and materials – natural leather, customized colours, durability
Each model was crafted with meticulous attention to detail and made from premium-quality materials. Upholstery combines natural and eco leather, ensuring durability, easy maintenance, and an aesthetic that meets the standards of contemporary cinema design. Several models were finished in individually selected colours, harmonised with the interior concept of each screening room.

The Kinopolis Hamburg project demonstrates how thoughtfully designed cinema seating can become an integral part of the architectural space – both functionally and visually. By complementing the architectural concept and providing the highest level of comfort, the seating becomes as essential to the cinema experience as image or sound technology. This synergy is what defines a modern cinema.
