Scope of cooperation
It is worth emphasising that Nowy Styl's role was not limited to granting Coastal Qatar the licence to produce chairs; the scope of cooperation on the construction of the factory was much bigger.
– Our experts took part actively in the process of selecting and testing injection moulding machines for the production of chairs. We advised Coastal Qatar to purchase specific solutions from a manufacturer in Austria, who is a strong leader in the field and whose products are characterised by very high quality. The same models have been successfully used in our factory in Jasło for a few years now, which is why Coastal decided to choose the technology. The forms needed for producing Abacus chairs were created in Poland, especially for their production in Qatar. Our top specialists visited the factory in Qatar many times; together with Coastal's engineers, they worked on setting up the machines, starting up the production line and optimising it. It was very important to us to connect the machines in such a way that the production process would take as little time as possible – within the planned scale of production, this will be crucial.
Moreover, the head of the factory in Qatar came to Poland to take part in a training course that was organised for him in Jasło. The last half year has been a very intense period of time, during which we exchanged our knowledge and shared our know-how. However, our role is not limited to the technical aspects. We are supporting Coastal Qatar in the contact they have with the investor, architects and general contractors. We are also preparing complete project documentation – says Jakub Rachfalik. – There is a huge amount of work ahead of us, but we are on the right track to achieving complete success – concluded.
